Kerala PSC Higher Secondary School Teacher Recruitment Exam

Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Kerala PSC after 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' .Candidates who have already registered can apply through their profile.

2. Name of Post : Higher Secondary School Teacher (Junior) Commerce
3. Scale of Pay : ` 16,180 – 29,180/-
4. Number of vacancies : 2 (Two) Vacancies (Scheduled Tribe only)
5. Method of Appointment :- Direct Recruitment.
(Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Tribes only).
NOTE :- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Tribe will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued.
6. Age :- 20-45 years (Only candidates born between 02.01.1967 and 01.01.1992 (both dates included) are
eligible to apply).
NOTE :- (1) Relaxation in upper age limit up to 47 years as on the First day of January, 2012 shall be allowed to the qualified ministerial staff under Higher Secondary Education Department for direct recruitment to the category of Higher Secondary School Teacher mentioned above.
(2) In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.
7. Qualifications :-
I. Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent there to in the respective subject by any of the Universities in Kerala.
II (i) B.Ed. in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala.
(ii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala.
(iii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree as specified in items (1) & (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent there to by any of the Universities in Kerala.
III. Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government.
Note: -
Persons who have acquired M.Ed in the subject concerned recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification.
EXEMPTIONS FOR THE POST
1. Those persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test for the post of College Lecturers conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test for Higher Secondary School Teachers.
2. Those persons who have passed the National Eligibility Test/ Junior Research Fellowship shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test.
3. Persons with Ph.D /M.Phil / M.Ed Degree shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test  provided the M.Phil in the concerned subject should be one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala.
4. The teachers who have completed Ten (10) years of approved teaching service at the High School level in the General Education Subordinate Service shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test for Higher Secondary School Teacher.
Note :- 1) Higher Secondary School Teacher Junior means Part-time post of Higher Secondary School Teacher.
2) The list of selected candidates published by the commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of 3 years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force, if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of One year is published. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancy and also for the vacancies reported for special recruitment for ST only.
8. Mode of Sending the applications :-
Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.org' for applying for the post. Candidates who have registered  shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates must exclusively click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link for applying for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates can view and have a print-out of the details in the profile by clicking the link Registration Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before applying for a post, candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User- ID for further communication with the Commission. Applications once submitted will be received as provisional and particulars shall not be deleted or altered after submission. Applications will be summarily rejected if non compliance with the notification in due course of processing. Documents to prove Qualification, experience, community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for .
9. Last date of receipt of applications : 22.08.2012 Wednesday upto 12 Midnight.

11. Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in Rule 3(c) of Part II of the  Kerala State and Subordinate Services Rules) of the General Conditions are not applicable to this selection.
12. Appointments are made on the basis of the rank secured in the Ranked List of candidates prepared in  pursuance of this notification subject to the conditions laid down in G.O. (P) No. 21/76/PD dated,  17.01.1976 and G.O. (P) No. 25/94/GAD dated, 22.01.1994 allowing special reservations to Scheduled  Caste and Scheduled Tribes in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under sections 3 (c), 17 (a), 17(b) of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958. 13. If a Written Test/OMR Test is conducted as part of the Selection, Hall Ticket of eligible candidates will be made available on the website of the Kerala Public Service Commission. Candidates are instructed to download their Hall Ticket as per the instructions on the website.
